Process Overview
A. Straighten the coiled wire.
B. Use precision fixtures and automatic measuring tools to cut the wire to the required length with
a laser machine, then clamp the fixture to send it to the next process.
C. Use a laser machine to strip the insulation from the wire to an appropriate length, and send
the fixture to the next process.
D. The automatic feeding machine aligns the POGO PIN with the wire using a CCD AI correction
machine, inserts it into the POGO PIN, and presses it at the suitable welding point.
E. The laser welding machine aligns with the welded joint and uses a set power laser to instantly fuse the conductors.
F. The CCD AI vision inspection machine automatically checks whether the surface of the weld shows a bright circular shape, and the fixture sends the finished product to the next process.
G. Use an electrical testing machine to check the electrical functionality of the finished product, automatically classifying good and defective products for separation.
Conclusion
Micro POGO PINs, due to their small size, high precision, and high lifespan requirements, clearly show that traditional soldering methods are insufficient in terms of strength, stability, and reliability. Therefore, it is necessary to adopt a solder-free wire welding method. In particular, automated laser welding will be the solution for future improvements.
